What is a Server Administrator?
The role of a server administrator can be defined as someone who has the knowledge and skills to manage and handle operating system level development work both within a single machine or a cluster of machines. S/he will also be entrusted to oversee the seamlessness of such a setup in terms of operational readiness.
Academic Administrator
Singapore Raffles Music College is looking for an Academic Administrator to support the operations of the Academic Department. As the Academic Administrator, you will work closely with the Academic Manager to achieve the department goals. You will be part of a dynamic team working in a fast-paced environment as the college strives for academic transformation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the Academic Manager in the daily operations of the Academic Department, including following up on student academic matters, as well as preparation and organisation of official meetings minutes.
- Liaise with other agencies, organisations and groups for academic matters
- Plan teaching schedules and academic resources for academic programmes
- Plan and administer assessments and examinations, including liaison with external examiners and facilitation of appeals and moderation processes
- Manage the filing, storage and security of academic documents
- Assist the Academic Manager in the administering and analysis of surveys including the writing of academic reports with the data collected
- Able to investigate and resolve feedback/complaints efficiently and tactfully
- Assist with any ad-hoc academic operations
Network Administrator
- Monitor network performance for uptime and security.
- Manage firewalls, including Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDP) and Intrusion Prevention System (IPS).
- Configure VPNs (Virtual Private Network), IPsec, SD-WAN, MPLS, Policy Management, ExpressRoute, and Cloud Connect.
- Work on migration projects and green field implementations.
- Document network changes according to change management procedures.
- Integrate network services with cloud platforms like Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS (Apache Web Server).
- Performing Regular Security Audits on the networks (VAPT)
- Implement EDP and XDR initiatives.
Sales Administrator
- Customer Support: Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries via phone and email, providing prompt and courteous support. Escalate technical issues to the relevant teams when necessary.
- Billing and Invoicing: Handle monthly billing processes, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing for our services. Work closely with the sales and finance teams to address any billing discrepancies.
- Vendor Management: Maintain up-to-date records and reports on vendor performance, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs). Coordinate with vendors for issue resolution and service improvements.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on customer service metrics, billing accuracy, and vendor performance to management.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and internal workflows.
- Database Management: Manage and update customer and vendor databases, ensuring accuracy and security of data.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with legal and company policies, particularly in data protection and privacy.
