Senior Financial Accountant

Xyventra Partners is looking for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant based in the Philippines to support an Australian business.

This is a full-time remote role working Australian business hours. You must have previous experience working directly with Australian businesses and a strong understanding of Australian accounting practices.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
• Month-end and year-end close
• Accruals, prepayments and journals
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
• BAS, GST and other Australian reporting requirements
• Supporting the Financial Controller and wider finance team
• Identifying opportunities to strengthen financial controls and processes

What we're looking for

• Previous accounting experience with Australian businesses is essential
• Strong Australian financial accounting knowledge
• Experience with month-end reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
• Experience using ERP or enterprise accounting systems
• Strong Excel skills
• CPA or CA qualification is highly regarded
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Ability to work Australian business hours
• High level of accuracy, ownership and attention to detail
