Nurse/ Caregiver will provide comprehensive nursing care to the elderly residents of Singapore Old Folks Home. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of the residents. The nurse will collaborate with other healthcare professionals and support staff to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

Resident Care:

• Provide direct nursing care, including administering medications, wound care, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities.

Assessment:

• Conduct regular assessments of residents' health status and develop personalized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting all care provided and any changes in residents' conditions.

Family Communication:

• Communicate effectively with residents' families, providing updates on their loved ones' health and addressing any concerns.

Education:

• Educate residents and their families on health management, medication usage, and lifestyle adjustments to promote overall well-being.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards, maintaining a safe and clean environment for residents.

Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, support staff, and volunteers to deliver coordinated and holistic care.

Emergency Response:

• Respond to medical emergencies promptly and efficiently, providing appropriate care and notifying the necessary parties.

Education:

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in geriatric or long-term care settings.

Skills:

• Strong clinical skills in geriatric care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records and basic computer skills.

Work Environment:

• This position involves working in a residential care setting with elderly individuals who may have various health conditions.
• The role requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift and move residents as needed.
• Shift work, including weekends and public holidays, may be required.
