Description

The Job

This role is responsible for arranges recruitment activities for volunteers, and matches them to the appropriate programmes and clients. This role requires to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders. Someone who is adaptable to fast paced environment, ability to multitasking and work independently as well as in a team.


Responsibilities

Volunteer Engagement

  • Volunteer recruitment, coordination and outreach (includes interviewing and screening).
  • Carry out volunteer policies and processes.
  • Conduct volunteer recognition and engagement activities.
  • Conduct volunteer training programmes.
  • Develop requirements for volunteer profiles.
  • Ensure volunteer policies and processes are followed in programmes.
  • Maintain volunteer database and training records.
  • Matching the skills, experiences and expectations of volunteers to appropriate programmes and clients.
  • Creating volunteer programme materials; eg. Applications, volunteer agreements.
  • Work hand in hand with the Eldercare AMS Teams and MET to roster and organise volunteers for Eldercare/Outreach/Escorting activities.
  • Ensure volunteers are informed of volunteering opportunities in a timely manner.
  • Administrative work within the Eldercare department.


Event Support

  • Providing support for the Organization’s major events and functions; eg. Anniversary dinner, Flag day,  and Befriending programme) organised by the Charity.
  • Support the team and Executive Director where necessary.

Requirements

  • At least Diploma/Degree in any discipline. 
  • Possess a good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin speaker recipients.
  • Min 2 years’ experience in volunteer management. 
  • Strong administrative skills.
  • Adequate understanding of VWO settings.
  • Willing and able to work for charity events.
  • Meticulous and detailed working style.
  • Positive and adaptive personality.
  • Able to multi-task; and work independently as well as in a team.
  • Possess passion and empathy for non-profit work.
