Senior Process Engineer scope of work includes setting up manufacturing processes, quality control measures, improvement exploration including design of jigs and looking into design for assembly.

He/she will have a good understanding of existing manufacturing set-up and using techniques such as value stream mapping (VSM), he/she will design the manufacturing concept to optimize available resources. After defining the manufacturing concept, he/she will design the manufacturing processes and incorporating design for assembly (DFA) principles to simplify assembly processes by reducing components or assembly operations required. From these activities, with the objective of optimizing the overall product manufacturing cost.

Setting up the manufacturing processes and quality control, he/she will create work instructions, testing and/or checklists for inspection for critical to quality measurements. He/she will define test or measurement parameters and provide requirements to tester design team to develop the testers.

To improve efficiency and manufacturing practices, he/she will explore designing jigs for ease of assembly and critical alignments. Alternative tools exploration such as smart tools and fixtures which support better ergonomics will also be considered. 

• Diploma of Mechanical or Mechatronics with min 5-7 years working experience in Manufacturing or automation environment
• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics with 3-5 years working experience in Manufacturing or automation environment
