Description

Job Summary

Report to the Southern Dim Sum Head Chef

Serve as deputy in the absence of the Southern Dim Sum Head Chef

Assist the Southern Dim Sum Head Chef in preparing ingredients for the Southern Dim Sum menu

Maintain and control the quality and standards of all products, including monitoring product freshness

Pay attention to food presentation and arrangement

Demonstrate a sense of urgency in work while adhering to recipe standards

Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of workstations and kitchen equipment

Handle e-procurement of ingredients and update the Goods Received Note (GRN), participate in all purchasing of materials, and check the quality and quantity of supplies

Assist in conducting bi-monthly inventory checks

Comply with food safety and kitchen safety standards

Follow the company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

Perform any other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned


Main Responsibilities

-Report to the Southern Dim Sum Head Chef

-Assist in the preparation of menu items for the Southern Dim Sum section

-Act as deputy in the absence of the Southern Dim Sum Executive Chef

-E-procurement of ingredients and update the Goods Received Note (GRN)

-Maintain quality control for all products, including monitoring product freshness

-Ensure the consistency and quality of food served in the restaurant

-Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment

-Assist in managing discipline, cleanliness, and hygiene in the kitchen area

-Participate in checking the quality of all purchased supplies and account for each delivered item

-Assist in bi-monthly stock takes and monitoring stock levels

-Adhere to hygiene and safety standards

-Follow the company’s standard operating procedures

-Any other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of on-the-job experience as Southern Dim Sum Chef 2 (Southern Dim Sum Chef 1 must be capable of producing all Southern Dim Sum products and teaching/training Southern Dim Sum Assistants)

• Proficient with Southern Dim Sum specialty equipment

• Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
